Viking 110

Hello, new member here and I just have hopefully a simple question.  I have the chance to purchase a Viking 110 at a really reasonable price for what is included.  I know this model has been dicontinued and some of the mandatory upgrades have been completed.  I was wondering how hard it is to still get parts for the 110 if need be or if I should just wait and find a 130?  This will be going in a Zenith 750.

  • Hi Jared, the parts all are still readily available and the engine will perform good with the 110; however, a really great engine for the 750 is the 130. Take a look at some of the YouTube videos out there.

Hello,  We are currently working on the wiring of our viking 130 and I have a couple questions over what I believe are some recent changes from the original electrical schematic.  The first is whether to put the alternator on its own seperate switch…

"Yes, those are the limitations.  Getting more and more complicated.  We are now testing other options as well

"Thanks Alissa, I'm currently at 18 degrees of pitch on the prop.  I'm going to adjust to 20 to try to get closer to 5200 static RPM.  I know there is more thrust in that engine and prop but I sure am happy with the initial number.  And by the way, t…"

"The thrust might actually go up by lowering the RPM to 5450 if you want to give that a try. Super video and keep us updated!"

"545lbs of thrust with a Viking 130 and a 68” whirlwind spinning at 5700 rpm.  I obviously have to adjust for a bigger bite but man that engine just sings.  That’s a lot of thrust for a 770lb Savannah S.  We did do a weight and balance today and with…"

"Has anyone monitored the earthX battery temp in the engine compartment?  140F is max from the Mfgr. They also said do not mount the 680 in the cabin. they have one that is vented but costs are much more, the 900 series that has two vent tubes. So th…"
